The Crowdfunding Co-operative

The Crowdfunding Co-operative will bring together the best of online crowdfunding platforms like Kickstarter and IndieGoGo (i.e. low barrier to entry, easy to harness wealth of networks and share using social media etc) with the best of Community Shares (i.e. crowdfunded community scale infrastructure including real shares, real ownership, a real say and an actual share of any profits).

It’ll be a bit like a mash up of Kickstarter, IndieGoGo, BuzzBnk, GrowVC, OneClickOrgs, BetterMeans and Community Shares.

In short we’ll develop some nice web tools which make it easy to set-up and manage an Industrial Provident Society (as particular legal structure in the UK particularly suited to crowdfunding community scale infrastructure) and do a community share issues and member engagement online.
